INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - At least one major retailer has made changes to their return policy amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
In a post on their website, Grand Rapids, Michigan- based Meijer said they have "temporarily stopped acceptance of product returns including recalls, exchanges, and deposit refunds until Friday, April 16. To make sure we can accept any returns that expire during this time, the eligible return time period has been extended to 120 days for all items."
Meijer said the precautionary measures also means temporarily discontinuing Sodastream exchanges, automotive battery returns and carpet cleaner/power washer rentals from Bissell, but say they will accept any previously-rented Bissell cleaner or power washer but asked that only the customer touch the equipment and return it to a store fixture.
The policy is in effect until April 16,
The company has 230 stores.
