Crispy Bird restaurant to close just over a year after opening

An Indianapolis restaurant is closing its doors as planned, just over a year after it opened.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - An Indianapolis restaurant is closing its doors as planned, just over a year after it opened.

Martha Hoover's Crispy Bird restaurant in Meridian-Kessler closes for good this weekend... after opening in late 2017. Hoover founded the Patachou restaurants in Indianapolis. She has 12 in all. This is the first to close.

A spokesperson said Crispy Bird was meant to be a short-lived venture. She says the space will house the Patachou Foundation and serve as an incubator where Patachou can test recipes and host visiting chefs.
