INDIANAPOLIS — Twenty states will be raising the minimum wage in the new year.
In New Mexico, the minimum wage will increase from $9/hour to $10.50.
New York will see its minimum wage increase 70 cents to $12.50/hour.
Some businesses are asking for a pause on the increases because of the strain they're already under as a result of the pandemic.
The national minimum wage is $7.25 and that's the same for Indiana.
Here's a look at what the minimum wage will be in the 20 states increasing theirs:
