Missouri man killed in I-70 crash in Putnam County

PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind. (WTHR) - Indiana State Police have released the identity of a Missouri man who died Wednesday night on Interstate 70 near the 39 mile marker.

Police say Kenneth 50-year-old David Harrah of Saint Peters, Missouri, was driving westbound in a Dodge passenger vehicle just after 11:00 p.m. when he drove into a westbound tractor-trailer.

Investigators Harrah failed to slow or change lanes to avoid the tractor-trailer.

He died at the scene.

Indications are the tractor-trailer, driven by 60-year-old Pritpal Singh of Warrensville Heights, Ohio, was traveling at or near normal speed, when the faster moving Harrah vehicle struck the rear of the trailer.

Putnam County Coroner Dave Brown has schedled an autopsy for Thursday.
