MAGOFFIN COUNTY, Ky. (WTHR) — After days of searching, officials have located a missing Kentucky toddler.

Magoffin County Sheriff's Department posted on Facebook Wednesday afternoon that the 22-month-old Kenneth Howard had been found and was in "remarkably good condition."

He was attended by medics for dehydration.

The toddler was reported missing on Sunday evening, LEX18 reported. The toddler went missing near Salyersville, Kentucky — about two hours southeast of Lexington.

Police spent Sunday searching for the boy, but according to LEX18, police suspended their search. Meanwhile, volunteer groups continued to look.

Several agencies had assisted in the search that has brought out helicopters, K-9 units and drones to help find the boy.

It's unclear how the the boy escaped his home but there are ideas.

"I think the child got out the back door of the house," family friend and EMA director Robert Prater said. "The way that the house sits, you're looking down the road. So for the child to get down the road, his dad would've been able to see him."
