INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — A downtown McDonald's restaurant has reopened after it was closed due to a pest issue Wednesday.

The Marion County Health Department had closed the McDonald's at 16th and Meridian streets after a recent inspection discovered flies and fruit flies in the restaurant. The health department said the restaurant was treating the problem and could reopen if it passed another inspection.

The restaurant apparently reopened late Wednesday night.

Eyewitness News reached out to the franchise owner of the McDonald's but we have not received a response.
