Men banned from Houston gun range for careless selfie

A guest at a Houston gun range decided to take a selfie with a firearm pointed at his friend's head.

HOUSTON (KPRC) - Two men have been banned from a Houston, Texas gun range after they tried to take a selfie with one of the men holding a gun to his friend's head.

Surveillance cameras captured the incident at the Top Gun Range. The man taking the picture poses for a selfie with the gun held against his chest before turning the weapon toward his friend.

A range safety officer steps in quickly, disarming the man.

"It would've been a very bad situation," the range's general manager Kyle Harrison told KPRC. "Not just for obviously us and the other patrons on the range, but that guy and his family."

Managers have sent the video to all their employees as a training tool.

They also wanted to give the public a refresher in gun range safety by releasing it on social media.
