Man suspended from basketball competition after drug test reveals he's 'pregnant'

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTHR) — A former basketball player was suspended from an international competition after his drug test revealed he's pregnant.

A urine sample provided by DJ Cooper revealed the presence of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) , a hormone produced during pregnancy — clearly identifying that it wasn't his urine, according to

Cooper was attempting to join a Bosnian national team, WCMH reported.

He has been suspended from all international competition until June 20, 2020.

Cooper played for Ohio University from 2009 to 2013.
