Man shot Wednesday morning on Indy's northeast side

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Metro police are investigating after one man was shot Wednesday morning on the city's northeast side.

Police were called to the 100 block of Arizona Street on the city's near south side around 3 a.m.

The man told officers he was shot in the back at 38th Street and Post Road and was driven to his girlfriend's house.

Medics transported him to Eskenazi Hospital in serious but stable condition.

There is no information on a suspect or motive at this time.
