LOS ANGELES (KNBC) - A 45-year-old man is on life support after he was attacked outside Dodger Stadium Friday night.

Rafael Reyna’s wife, Christel, says her husband has a fractured skull and he cannot breathe on his own. He is on life support at USC Medical Center.

Reyna says she was face-timing with her husband after the Dodgers game against the Arizona Diamondbacks when she says she heard a woman yell, "Why did you do that?"

A man approached her husband and started cursing at him.

Then, she heard the sound of a crack and the screen went blank.

"I’m panicked,” said Christel Reyna. “I'm screaming in the phone and nobody is hearing me. Nobody is answering me. And I could hear my husband moaning."

Saturday, the Dodgers released a statement:

"Last night, an altercation occurred suddenly between two men who were leaving the stadium. One of the men was injured as a result of the altercation. A witness immediately reported the incident to stadium personnel, and emergency medical technicians were promptly dispatched to provide medical assistance at the scene. The matter is now being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department, and the Dodgers are cooperating fully with the investigation."

"Somebody saw it,” Reyna said. “Somebody was saying ‘he's bleeding from his head.’ Somebody saw this. Somebody was saying ‘stop them.’"

LAPD is investigating the assault, but so far have made no arrests.
