Man arrested after officer finds nearly 2 pounds of marijuana in car at traffic stop

LEBANON, Ind. (WTHR) — An Indianapolis father is in trouble after officers found drugs in his possession.

Police in Boone County said they stopped Andre Morrow for a traffic violation when they noticed the smell of marijuana coming from his car.

Following a search, police found marijuana in various packages, a jar containing marijuana seed, and a scale, according to our newspaper partner The Lebanon Reporter. The officer also found a loaded handgun in a diaper bag along with cash. More than $800 was found in the search.

Morrow's 1-year-old son was in the car at the time.

Our partners at The Lebanon Reporter say Morrow is expected to be in court Nov. 7 on charges of dealing marijuana and neglect of a dependent.
