Louisville police working on four overnight shootings; 2 killed, 9 hurt


LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WTHR) - Two people were killed and nine others were injured in overnight shootings in Louisville.

The first shooting in the city’s Chickasaw neighborhood wounded a teenager, who was in stable condition, according the NBC affiliate WAVE3.

Six men were wounded in the second shooting near a liquor store in Louisville’s Park Hill neighborhood. One of them later died at the hospital. Five other victims were stable.

The third shooting happened near a Jacobs neighborhood apartment complex. Police tell WAVE3 a man in his 20′s was shot twice and is stable.

The fourth shooting victim, a teenager, showed up at Audubon Hospital with a gunshot wound, saying he was shot at Louisville Student Housing, a University of Louisville affiliated property.

Police are still investigating Sunday and have not found any connection between the shootings.
