Longtime Anderson High School Coach Norm Held dies

ANDERSON, Ind. (WTHR-Herald Bulletin) - Longtime Anderson High School Basketball Coach Norm Held passed away Thursday at his Florida home.

Our news gathering partners at the Anderson Herald Bulletin report Held was 85-years-old.

Held coached the Indians from 1975 to 1993, compiling a record of 343-114.

His teams won five semi-state championships, nine regional titles.

In 2010, Held was inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame.

Friends of Held hope to have a celebration of life service in the next 30-60 days.
