INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - It's been exactly 18 years since the terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center.

People in Indianapolis are paying their respects.

The evening started with a 9/11 Memorial Run to help those with PTSD.

Then there was a candlelight ceremony at the 9/11 memorial downtown.

Organizers say it's important to take time to pause and remember.

"We are still suffering; we are still seeing the effects of that terrible day; we're still at war, so we are thrilled there are a lot of people coming down to remember this day," said Jill Fewell.

There was also a motorcycle ride later in the evening.
