A weakening weather system is moving through central Indiana. Expect mostly cloudy skies and a slight chance for a few showers this evening. A reinforcing shot of cooler air arrives early Thursday. Morning temperatures will be in the 50s and we are forecasting highs in the middle and upper 70s. Slightly warmer and more humid air arrives on Friday, with forecast highs in the range of 80 to 85 degrees.

It will be even warmer this weekend, but there will also be a battle between and the chance for rain. Right now the best chance for rain will be across the northern part of the state. South of the rain chance, we are forecasting highs in the range of 85 to 90 degrees.

This summer-like heat is forecast to linger into early next week. We are forecasting upper 80s and lower 90s Monday through Wednesday. This could be record breaking heat, as the record highs are 89 degrees early next week.
