Live Doppler 13 Thursday Sunrise forecast: Jackets required

What a morning, as temperatures dropped quickly all night and the rush hour means sweaters and light jackets for many around central Indiana.

Look for another spectacular day with highs in the mid-70s under a mostly to partly sunny sky.

The Indianapolis Indians had a great win last night against Louisville and it looks like the stage is set for another nice night against Louisville. What a great evening to lay a blanket on the outfield grass and enjoy the Tribe go for another win.

Comfortable and quiet weather continues into the weekend and early next week.

As of now it's been the fourth-driest August on record, and our only hopes of rainfall may come from the remnants of Tropical Storm Harvey possibly late next week. Unfortunately it appears Harvey may deliver significant flooding to southeast Texas and Louisiana.

This day in central Indiana weather history:
1997: Baseball-size hail fell at Trafalgar.
