Life Time Fitness cuts cable news channels from lineup

The TVs at Life Time Fitness will no longer show cable news programs.

Life Time Fitness is saying no to cable news in its fitness centers.

The chain of gyms says it decided to pull the plug on the channels based on customer feedback.

In a message on Twitter, the gym said they're committed to providing family oriented environments that are free of consistently negative or politically charged content.

Deleted channels include CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and CNBC.

While some gym users say they're happy to have a politics-free zone to work out, immediate reaction to the tweet was largely negative.

Life Time Fitness has three locations in the Indianapolis area.
