WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WTHR) – A big power outage that affected Purdue's campus has been mostly fixed just in time for the Boiler Gold Rush move in Monday.

Duke Energy tells Eyewitness News that a squirrel got into the equipment at a substation, causing most of the campus to lose power around 8 a.m. Sunday.

More than 4,400 customers were affected in the outage.

Around 3:30 p.m. a few buildings on campus still didn't have power but a Purdue spokesperson said their power is expected to be fully restored soon.
