Lanes, ramps close this weekend for INDOT projects

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Crews from INDOT will be working on Marion County highways this weekend finishing construction projects. Contractors will be striping and grooving roads and installing traffic sensors.

The work will restrict the right lanes of I-465 on the southeast side of Indy between I-70 and I-65 at various times this weekend. The right lane of southbound/westbound will be closed from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday. On Sunday, the right lane will be closed eastbound from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Also watch for intermittent ramp closures to I-70, U.S. 40, Brookville Rd., I-74, Emerson Ave. and I-65.

On the northeast side, I-465 southbound will have three lanes closed between 71st Street and 56th Street starting at midnight Saturday until midnight Sunday. Northbound I-465 between 56th Street and Allisonville Road will have three lanes closed starting Friday at 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. Monday. The ramp from 56th Street/Shadeland Avenue to northbound I-465 will also close Friday night and reopen before Monday morning's rush hour.

On the northwest side, the left two lanes of southbound I-65 between I-465 and 38th Street will close at 7 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Saturday.
