Kroger recalls some Indiana beef for e-coli risk

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Kroger has recalled some beef sold in Cincinnati, Kentucky and southeastern Indiana stores due to a potential health hazard.

According to the Kroger website, the recall affects:

  • Bone-in Ribeye Steaks
  • Boneless Ribeye Steaks
  • In-Store Produced Ground Beef

The beef was sold from April 23 through June 7, 2019 and may be contaminated with E. COLI 0157:H7.

Eating the beef could result in severe illness.

There have been no confirmed reports of illness due by anyone who ate any of these products.

Customers should return the product to this store for a full refund.

Consumers call contact Kroger at (800) 576-4377, then choose Option 1, followed by Option 5.
