Kokomo police investigating weekend robbery, stabbing

KOKOMO, Ind. (WTHR) - A Kokomo man is recovering in an Indianapolis hospital with three stab wounds he said he sustained in a Sunday morning robbery.

According to a media release from Kokomo Police, Marshaun Scott, 20, said he was walking in an alley near the intersection of Leeds Street and Jackson Street just before 5 a.m. when he was approached by two men.

Scott told officers the suspects tried to take his backpack he tried to fight them.

Scott was getting treated for stab wounds at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo when he told police what happened.

The two suspects, described by Scott as a white male and a Hispanic male, stabbed Scott in the back during the fight and took his black Nike backpack with money and clothes inside. Scott said the two left in a white four door SUV.
