Katelyn Marak crowned Miss Indiana Outstanding Teen 2010

Zionsville - Katelyn Marak was crowned Miss Indiana's Outstanding Teen 2010 Friday at the Zionsville High School Performing Arts Center.

Twenty young women between the ages of 13 and 17, from all over Indiana, competed Friday in talent, active wear, evening wear and onstage question, as well as a private interview held with judges earlier in the day.

Marak, 16, is Miss Indiana South Outstanding Teen and a Junior at Kouts High School in Kouts, Ind. Her platform is "Be the change you want to see" and she will now go on to represent Indiana at the Miss America's Outstanding Teen Pageant in Orlando in August.

First runner-up was Madison Seifert, 15, Miss Hoosier Heartland's Outstanding Teen, 2nd runner-up was Erika Litz, 16, Miss Central Indiana's Outstanding Teen, 3rd runner-up was Brianna DeCamp, 16, Miss Fort Wayne's Outstanding Teen and 4th runner-up was Presley Moreland, 17, Miss Ohio Valley's Outstanding Teen. 

Lydia Daley, Miss Indiana's Outstanding Teen 2009 passed on the crown tonight. Daley, of Fort Wayne, is a recent graduate of DeKalb High School. She won the preliminary talent competition at Miss America's Outstanding Teen in 2009 and was a Top Ten Finalist for Miss America's Outstanding Teen.

Competition continues Saturday at 7 p.m. with the finals of the Miss Indiana pageant, also at the Zionsville High School Performing Arts Center.
