Jet makes emergency landing at Indianapolis

The jet touched down at about 1:50 pm.

INDIANAPOLIS - A Delta jet made an emergency landing at the Indianapolis International Airport Thursday afternoon.

The Delta jet has 52 people on board. It landed without incident just before 2:00 pm.

The Delta Connection flight left Indianapolis for Boston but returned to Indy shortly after take-off. The plane circled the city for 20 minutes to burn fuel.

Emergency crews were standing by at the airport.

The aircraft reported a potential problem with its brakes.
