Jail deputy arrested for kissing, touching female inmate

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - A Marion County Sheriff's Department deputy has been fired and arrested for allegedly touching an inmate inappropriately.

According to court documents, Jose Quinones was working at the Marion County Jail over the weekend when he saw an old girlfriend who had been arrested.

Quinones was caught on surveillance cameras by his co-workers, kissing and touching the female inmate. When he was questioned about why he did it, the deputy said "old feelings started coming back."

He is now facing charges of attempted sexual misconduct and battery.

Quinones has been with the sheriff's department since 2008.
