INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - A semi jackknifed on the interstate north of Washington Street early Monday, temporarily blocking all traffic between the north and south splits.

The incident just before 3 a.m. backed up traffic into the North Split.

There is no word on what caused the truck to jackknife.

Roads are wet due to overnight rain in Indianapolis.

Traffic was able to use the Michigan/Ohio/Fletcher collector ramp to bypass the incident before cleanup crews opened the right lanes to traffic around 4:30 a.m.

All lanes were open in time for Monday's rush hour.
