INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Indianapolis Public Schools are getting ready to send thousands of kids on winter break at the end of this week.

But school leaders also want to make sure everyone stays fed over the holiday.

The district is starting up its "Free Winter Break Meals" starting next Wednesday.

Anyone under the age of 18 can stop by 16 different locations around Indianapolis to get free breakfast and lunch.

You don't have to be an IPS student and meals will be offered on December 26 and December 28.

This also includes January 2 through January 4.
