INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Sunday was a big day for animals in Indianapolis, looking to find their forever homes.

IndyHumane is part of the world's largest mobile pet adoption event, as a partnership with North Shore Animal League.

Families came out to see dogs and cats at their northwest side location.

Spring is one the busiest times of year at shelters, since dozens of kittens can come in each day with new litters being born.

People who stopped by got discounts, goodie bags, snacks and other giveaways.

If you didn't get the chance to stop by, you can still find a pet at the Humane Society.
