INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — There were eggs in the outfield on Easter Sunday at Victory Field, but those eggs didn't last long once the kids were let loose.

The event was Victory Field's first-ever Easter egg hunt, hosted by the Indianapolis Indians.

There were 10,000 eggs filled with candy scattered all across the field.

"Lots of smiling faces," said communications director Charlie Henry. "We've had a few chilly days in a row now, so to see the sun shining down and all these young smiling faces is really a sight to behold."

All the Easter fun was before the first pitch between the Indians and the Louisville Bats. The Indians beat the Bats in an extra inning.
