Indiana Blood Center in 'critical' need for blood

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WTHR) — The Indiana Blood Center says there's a critical need for blood right now.

They say they had several people donate around the Fourth of July, but have gone through more than 300 units of blood in the last few days and that caused the state's blood level to fall to a dangerously low level.

Several blood types are needed, but the biggest need is for o-positive and o-negative blood.
