Increase in car break-ins has Muncie police reminding residents to lock up

MUNCIE, Ind. (WTHR) β€” A recent spike in car break-ins has police in Muncie warning people to make sure their cars are locked.

On Twitter, Muncie police shared their first ever "9 p.m. Routine" as a reminder to lock your cars and homes every night at 9 p.m.

Police say in a 24 hour span Muncie has had an increase of car break-ins β€” all involving cars with unlocked doors.
