INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - IMPD's Motorcycle Drill Team is practicing to take their performance on the road.

The precision performers were one of the features of last weekend's Circle City Classic Parade.

One of the features in this past weekends Circle City Classic Parade is practicing to take their performance on the road.

Eyewitness News caught up with the team during their Monday rehearsal.

Every move on the motorcycle is about timing and, more importantly, safety.

The team's next show is in Birmingham, Alabama.

"People see us perform in different parades and say 'those guys will be wonderful in our parade' so we get an invite and look at the schedule to see if we are available to do and the guys put in vacation time." said IMPD Sgt. Curtis Hanks.

One of the team's favorite stunts is standing on the seat while in motion. The officers stress it's a stunt not to be tried at home.
