IMPD seeks homicide victim's next of kin


Metro Police are asking for the public's help in locating family members of a homicide victim.

Larry Palmer, 59, was found dead inside a duplex at 3352 W. 9th Street in the early morning hours of New Year's Day. Officers found the back door open and the man lying on the floor when they arrived. They believe he may have been shot after opening his door. Palmer was pronounced dead at the scene.

His death is the first homicide of 2013. The other side of the one-story brick duplex was the scene of a homicide in November of 2012.

Police have been unable to find Palmer's next of kin. They are releasing his name and photo in hopes of locating a family member.
