INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Merry Christmas from IMPD K-9 Officer Molly Groce and her yellow Labrador Retriever, Trooper!

We previously shared the story of Officer Groce and Trooper working to make 8-year-old Aiden's Christmas wish come true.

Aiden has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a progressive disease with no cure. Officer Groce said Aiden's mom began following Lando and his fellow pooches more than a year ago on her Instagram and then began reaching out.

Officer Groce helped arrange a "K-9 Christmas" for Aiden by asking K-9 handlers close to where Aiden lives and completed her 15-hour trek to New Hampshire for a surprise visit.

IMPD shared the special update and photos on Facebook.

Officer Groce raised more than $30,000 on a GoFundMe to buy a wheelchair-accessible van for Aiden's family, which will become more critical as Aiden begins to lose mobility.

Merry Christmas, Aiden!
