IHOb name change met with shade

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — When IHOP, the International House of Pancakes, announced they were changing their name to IHOb last week, many wondered why the change was occurring and what the new letter would stand for.

The ‘b’ is for burgers:

The company announced Monday that the change is temporary and part of a marketing campaign meant to promote a new line of burgers. The success of their new Ultimate Steakburgers has yet to be seen but there’s already pushback on the name change. Many took to online platforms like Twitter to express their unhappiness:





Even other restaurants are hopping in on the fun:

Following the announcement Monday, fast food chains Wendy’s and Whatabuger, both who are known for their burgers, joined in on the online fun.
