INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — What better way to show that special someone you care about them than showering them with doggy snuggles?

ICAN, the Indiana Canine Assistant Network, is bringing back its popular Puppy Love Valentines, in which dogs in training deliver a gift.

ICAN will deliver to businesses, schools, hospitals, nursing homes, retirement communities and churches within a 25-mile radius from Monument Circle — as well as Bloomington — on Thursday, Feb. 13 and Friday, Feb. 14.

This year, 1,200 gift boxes will be assembled, and you also have the option of purchasing one or two add-ons:

  • Puppy Love Gift Box — $55
    • 10 greeting cards
    • Dog art canvas
    • Coasterstone desk coaster
    • Cookie from Blondies
    • Chocolate from DeBrand Fine Chocolates
    • Chocolate from Endangered Species Chocolate
    • Cinnamon candy
    • Valentine card
    • Hand-made gifts from the correctional facilities
    • More surprise goodies!
  • Doggy Valentine Gift Bag (add-on) — $20
    • Toys
    • Puppy Playground Day Pass
    • Biscuits
  • Taylor's Bakery Valentine Cake (add-on) — $20
    • Fully-decorated Valentine cake with a picture of ICAN puppy, Taylor
    • Serves eight people

A release form must be filled out by Feb. 7 for school deliveries.

When the valentine arrives, the recipient will have 15 minutes with the dog.

There will also be three locations for you to pick up your order if needed, as well as three satellite locations with gift boxes, gift bags and cakes available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
