INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Indianapolis Animal Care Services wants Colts fans to take advantage of the big game against the Chiefs this weekend, but it has nothing to do with football.

Through Sunday, Jan. 13, IACS will waive adoption fees for anyone who wears blue and white or Colts gear into the shelter.

It's an effort to clear the shelter, as there are currently no open kennels. There are currently 839 animals — 427 of them dogs — being cared for at IACS. More animals come in every day.

The free adoptions including a microchip, spay and neuter, vaccinations and heart worm testing.
