HSE, City of Fishers partner to present school safety forum

FISHERS, Ind. (WTHR) - In the aftermath of a school school shooting Friday that injured a Noblesville teacher and a student, Hamilton Southeastern Schools has announced a community forum aimed at discussing student safety.

"Safe City, Safe Schools" is set for Wednesday, May 30 at 6:30 pm at Leonard Auditorium at Hamilton Southeastern High School.

The school district and the City of Fishers have partnered on the event and local officials are expected to participate in a conversation that will present safety measures already in place and discussion of ways to better protect students and staff.

Guests are invited to park near the College and Career Academy entrance off Olio Road and enter at Door 18.

As we continue to process what occurred this morning at Noblesville West Middle School, we want to invite you to be part of the conversation in regard to improving student safety in Hamilton Southeastern Schools.

Mayor Scott Fadness and Superintendent Dr. Allen Bourff have partnered together to bring a panel of local officials together for a public forum on ways to better protect our students. You will also hear first-hand some of the measures HSE Schools and the City of Fishers already have in place.

Safe City, Safe Schools will be held on Wednesday, May 30 at 6:30 P.M. inside Leonard Auditorium at Hamilton Southeastern High School. Parking will be located near the College and Career Academy entrance, off of Olio Road. Please enter through Door #18.
