HELL, Michigan (WTHR) - It was so cold in the Midwest this week, Hell froze over - literally.

Hell, Michigan, a community about an hour west of Detroit, shut down for a couple days due to the cold. The town's "warming center" was the Hell Saloon, which saw an increasing number of patrons pulling up on snowmobiles.

The regulars have heard all the jokes about Hell and embrace them.

"Must be Lions are in the Super Bowl, 'cause hell's froze over," said one.

"We love it down here. We feel like we got our own little slice of hell," Hell Saloon manager Erik Kauserud said.
