Hollywood legend Rob Reiner to be honored with Heartland's lifetime achievement award

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Rob Reiner will be honored with a lifetime achievement award at this year's Heartland Film Festival.

Tonight, his new film "LBJ," about President Lyndon B. Johnson, will kick off opening night of the film fest.

Reiner stopped by the studio at Eyewitness News to discuss similarities between President Trump and Johnson, his thoughts on the Harvey Weinstein, and some of his own favorite films.

The Heartland Film Festival begins tonight and runs through Oct. 22. There are 275 films to see from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at various locations around town. To see the complete list of films and show times, click here.
