Holiday storm chances

Happy Independence Day! It is a warm and humid day already and that's a trend that will stay with us for sometime.

Your holiday won't be a washout, but there will be a few showers and storms possible. It will be another warm and muggy day, with highs in the range of 85 to 90 degrees and "feels-like" temperatures in the middle and upper 90s. Take precautions from the high heat and high humidity by finding the shade and drinking plenty of water.

Your pets will need extra shade and water too. Whether it's a cook out, an Indians game, Star Spangled Symphony or the local fireworks show, keep an eye to the sky.

As you make your plans for Independence Day, download the Live Doppler 13 Weather App. This will help when storms pop-up later today.

This warm and muggy weather pattern will last through the long holiday weekend. There will be a daily chance for storms through at least Saturday. Right now there is a lower chance for Sunday and we are forecasting dry weather for Monday and Tuesday next week.
