Harbor Freight settles pricing lawsuit that could mean money for you

CALABASAS, Ca. (WTHR) - If you've been a Harbor Freight Toos customer within the last five years, a settlement of a class action lawsuit may put some cash back in your pocket.

The settlement could give shoppers as much as 30% back on their purchases. The lawsuit was filed to misleading sales prices that the suit said were misleading. The suit said that the company advertised products at prices that were listed as being on sale, but those products were never sold at higher prices.

If you bought anything from the company between April 8, 2011 through December 15, 2016, you are eligible for a partial refund.

If you kept your receipts, you can submit a claim here. You will receive a minimum of 20% of the amount you saved in cash or 30% of that amount on a Harbor Freight gift card.

For those that did not keep their receipts but have a bank, credit, or debit card statement, you can still submit a claim here. You will recieve as much as 10% cash back or 12% in gift cards.

If you don’t have receipts, you will need to submit your claim by mail. Information on how to do that can be found here. You will get a $10 gift card.

To be eligible for the settlement, you must submit a claim by August 7th of this year.
