FISHERS, Ind. (WTHR) - Parents of Hamilton Southeastern Schools students will learn Wednesday night how the district hopes to reassign students.

The news comes as HSE once again takes on redistricting. Superintendent Dr. Allen Bourff is presenting what is being called a "preferred plan" to the board of trustees. The goal is to assign students to the school closest to their home and to schools with growth capacity.

More than 10,000 people have weighed in during the process.

Wednesday night is not the final step. The board will vote to approve the plan on December 12.
