Hamilton Heights, Kokomo football game canceled, teams will meet for tornado clean-up

ARCADIA, Ind. (WTHR) - The Hamilton Heights and Kokomo football teams won't meet up at Lucas Oil Stadium Friday night as scheduled, but they will get together for something much more important.

The schools announced Thursday that Friday's game has been canceled due to the severe tornado damage suffered in Kokomo Wednesday. Instead, players from the two teams with team up with the United Way to help neighborhoods clean up storm damage.

Hamilton Heights says refunds will be available at Entrance B of the high school at 10 a.m. Friday for those who have purchased tickets to the game. Bring your tickets to the school to obtain your refund.

Also, those who purchased tickets can choose to have their refund donated to the Kokomo Disaster Relief Fund. Those ticketholders should also bring their tickets to the school starting at 10 a.m.
