GoFundMe for Trump's border wall rakes in nearly $19 million and counting

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR/AP) — Donations for a Trump border wall GoFundMe has raised nearly $19 million.

The page was created by Air Force veteran and triple amputee Brian Kolfage.

In a statement posted on the crowdsourcing page, Kolfage said the wall could be built if everyone who voted for Trump pledged $80 each. The goal is to collect $1 billion.

"As a veteran who has given so much, three limbs, I feel deeply invested to this nation to ensure future generations have everything we have today," Kolfage wrote.

Kolfage is also requesting that those who donate also sign a petition needed to build the wall.

The petition has more than 3 million signatures of the total 100 million requested.

"This won’t be easy, but it’s our duty as citizens. This needs to be shared every single day by each of you on social media. We can do it, and we can help President Trump make America safe again," Kolfage wrote.
