AUSTIN, Texas (WTHR) – A mother from Austin, Texas shared just how proud she is of her 6-year-old daughter and it's touching people across the nation.

Love Janae shared a short video on Facebook of her daughter daughter walking.

Her 6-year-old daughter has cerebral palsy and usually needs a walker to help her get around.

Cerebral palsy is a group of disorders that affect a person’s ability to move and maintain balance and posture and is the most common motor disability in childhood, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

In the video, Janae's daughter takes several steps back and forth and the joy on her face caught many people's attention.

During this special moment, you can hear the girl yell, "Oh, my God," quickly before reaching the bed where it seems her mother was sitting.

"Most of you know my daughter has cerebral palsy and needs her Walker to get around," Janae wrote on Facebook. "She decided to get up and try walking without her walker and braces. My hero is not someone older than me it's my 6 year old princess."

The video has been shared more than 25,000 shares.

"I'm so proud of my baby. She proved that anything is possible," Janae said.
