Getting around Indy after the storm

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - It’s been a rough start to the weekend (weather-wise) for people around Indianapolis, as snow is now covering a layer of ice on the ground. Some people avoided the storm by staying home on Friday and their car doors are basically frozen shut, with ice all over their windows and windshield.

Most major roads have been treated and are cleared now, but highway ramps are still a little uncertain. We saw a car go off the road and into the grass, driving on a ramp from Speedway to 465 on the west side. A tow truck came to help. Many neighborhood streets have snow packed on top, with slippery ice underneath and other side streets are also pretty slushy.
