INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Services have been scheduled for a Southport Police Detective who died earlier this week.

Visitation will be on Tuesday at "Simplicity" from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.

The funeral is scheduled for Wednesday at the Life Center at 10 a.m.

Police say a procession is being planned to Crown Hill cemetery, but the route has not been finalized.

Detective Sgt. Jason Swanson was found dead outside his car early Monday morning. Swanson wasn't on duty at the time and foul play is not suspected.

Metro police are investigating Swanson's death, but it's believed he may have had a medical emergency.

Swanson served with the Southport Police Department for four years.
