The threat of black ice remains for traveling after dark and during the Monday morning commute. But Monday morning is easily our coldest time of the next week with a substantial warm up this week.

Plenty of sunshine Monday and it helps temperatures to climb into the mid-30s. Tuesday features a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the 40s. Valentine's Day on Wednesday becomes cloudy with areas of fog, drizzle, and showers emerging in the afternoon. But it also features temperatures slowly warming into the 50s late afternoon and evening.

The warm flow continues all of Wednesday night and Central Indiana wakes to temps in the 50s Thursday morning... some 30° above average. Many areas sneak into the 60s Thursday despite overcast, rain, and some thunderstorms. Some may be locally heavy Thursday.

A cold front arrives Friday to change the rain to snow during the early part of the day and knocks highs into the 30s. But overall the next 10 days will be above to much above normal - Sean Ash
