INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Less than 24 hours after Pat McAfee made the surprise announcement that he's retiring from football, the tributes continue to pour in.

Indianapolis Power & Light honored the former Indianapolis Colts punter in lights, sharing the message "Thank You, Pat" with his uniform number on the side of their office building on Monument Circle.

Fishers-based t-shirt designers Vardagen unveiled their tribute to "The Boomstick," as well. The company designed a blue t-shirt with a drawing of McAfee kicking two footballs with the message, "Thank you for kicking our balls."

"He made the dreaded fourth down exciting and made us laugh countless times. Thanks for kicking our balls, Pat McAfee, you will be "sorely" missed! So glad you're staying in Indy... best of luck to you!" the company wrote.

The $26 shirts go on sale Saturday, with 15 percent of the proceeds going toward McAfee's GoFundMe account to help homeless veterans in Indiana.

Former "Bob & Tom Show" host Bob Kevoian and his wife, Becky, also shared their memories with McAfee on social media.

And the Indiana Pacers thanked McAfee for everything he brought to their games and to the city of Indianapolis.
