The weather system that has brought some much needed rain to central Indiana over the last few days will move south for Friday and the weekend.

It will still be a bit muggy overnight, with low temperatures in the lower and middle 60s early Friday morning. Expect a mix of sun and clouds on Friday. It will gradually become less humid. Afternoon temperatures will be in the middle and upper 70s.

This Friday night is the first night for high school football. Be sure to tune into our Operation Football coverage. It will be a great night of weather for football. Evening temperatures will fall into the 60s once the sun goes down.

Temperatures fall all of the way into the middle 50s by Saturday morning. We are forecasting mainly sunny skies and highs in the range of 75 to 80 degrees this weekend.

The weather pattern turns active again early next week, with rain and storm chances Monday and Tuesday.
